**giveaway closed**Meighan & Nicole's Birthday Blog Hop

LOOKING TO JOIN MY LATEST CHALLENGE ( VALENTINE'S DAY PROJECT NOT A CARD)?? PRIZE SPRING HOLIDAY CARDS CRICUT CARTRIDGE DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES  2-9-11 at Midnight PST.  CLICK HERE

 Hey friends.

I am currently STILL having major issues with youtube, so the video I recorded for this project will have to come later.

I am so happy to be apart of the Birthday Blog-aversery Blog Hop that Nicol And Meighan have put together.

The theme for this blog hop was Holiday Inspired Birthdays and immediately when I heard of this theme, i instantly thought of my little brother's birthday and Fourth of July. Even though his birthday is not until July, I quickly got started on an idea for his card. His Birthday falls 2 days after 4th of July and nearly always has a red white and blue theme since the those party supplies are always on a good sale in time for his party.

Here is my card I created.

I used B is for Boy to cut the robot at 2 inches, I used my gypsy to hide contour the face cuts.
I cut a range of stars from George & Basic Shapes from .5-1.5 inches in Red and Blue with the largest being white star

I cut the navy blue cardstock at 4x5 inches then attached 1 inch circles in the same navy blue cardstock onto it to make it appear to be embossed with large polka dots. I then sliced the bottom of the piece at an angle.

I then went ahead and layed my robot onto that cardstock piece and the parts that overhung the angled cut I trimmed off using my scissors.

I arranged the trim of stars across the diagonal angle I created alternating colors.

The number 6 is cut from Birthday Bash font at 1.25 inches

Using my Sakura Microperm pen I doodled a cute face onto the robot as well as a dial onto him, I colored his face and dial using a Copic Marker

The sentiment stamp comes from Scrappy Moms Stamps Happy Hauntings.

I hope you enjoyed my card.

For my Blog candy for this hop I am offering a 10 dollar gift certificate to PEACHY KEEN STAMPS.

Friends,

I accidentally scheduled an additional companion challenge this month. I know this is not two weeks apart but since I'm on vacation, I thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and continue with the extra scheduled challenge.

Episode 28: Piece of Cake Favor Boxes

Hey Friends ,

Today is another awesome Friend Request and it comes from Amanda, who wrote on my facebook page, that she was having a baby shower and was having a bit of a mental block when it came to creating things for the shower. I ran through a bunch of different types of things that I could showcase, a banner, an all paper flower floral arrangement, but then I decided to make a piece of cake, that is really just a piece of cake to make

Well then I said, wait how am I going to make this? I didn't have a pie box template or any sort of cartridge that had a triangle box. [Side note: you can find a box similar on Tags bags boxes and more (retired) and Tie the Knot] So I did what any other crafty woman would do, make my own. I literally had to do a bit of math to figure it out. And thank god I took those calculus courses in College!

So I will make this gypsy file available via email, if you would like it let me know and i'll be more than happy to send it your way because file sharing sites on the computer scare me! I do not know how to covert it to DS files... but if any of you out there know how to, you're more than welcome to it! I made the file using George and Basic Shapes because everyone who owns a cricut has George Preloaded on it (more info here, and yes it works)

Anyways in the video there are a few different tricks on how to make 3D prima flowers as well as tying the perfect bow using just your fingers :)

Just wanted to note that it takes 9 Triangles to make a cake layer, I did make 9 Triangles but only decorated 3 because I could not figure out for the life of me what I would do with a party favor box cake just sitting around!

Supply Credits:
Michelas white Cardstock
GCD Studios- Cloisonne Designer Paper 8x8 Pad, Double sided
Assorted Prima Flowers, I couldn't even begin to name the different types because I mix them all together!
Floral Dew drops
Pink Satin Ribbon (Michael's)
Zots, Quick dry, ATG

** if you would like the .gypsy file for this box, send me an email and I will drop it your way**

Pink Stamper Color Challenge

Hey there Again Friends,

I decided to do the My Pink Stamper Challenge. This time around it was to create a project using the colors, Green, Pink, Brown and Orange.

I had no idea what to do for this. So This is what I came up with. This type of cardstyle is a trifold pocket card

I was inspired by my paper this time. The brown pattern paper had a huge rose on it, and it was almost a shame to cut it up, so i decided to make some spiral paper rosses out of coordinating cardstock to match with it

For this challenge, I used Gypsy Wanderings for the Single Card shape, and I welded a circle from George to get the sircle at the top,  I also used gypsy wanderings to cut out the branches that I used for the roses as Leaves.
