PKS 3D Challenge: You've Been Framed

Happy Friday! TGIF

Today is my Groups Day to post challenge Inspiration over at Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog
The Challenge Project is to Create a 3d Project featuring a FRAME and your Peachy Keen Stamps

For my Project I decided to Alter a Frame that I had purchased at Michaels. These usually run about $1 and can be found with the wooden crafts section

Untitled

For my project I started with a piece of Kraft Cardstock which I modge Podged onto the Frame. I smoothed that out and let it dry. Then cut out the excess paper using my x-acto Knife.I die cut out some chevron shapes from DCWV All about Girls Stack and modge podged them onto the frame. Once again I let them dry then cut out the excess paper using my x-acto Knife. A Final Layer of Modge Podge over the frame seals the paper.

I used some Apple Barrel White Acylic Paint and painted some twirls and my Daughter's initals PSG onto the frame. I then waited for it to dry and covered with a light layer of Modge podge

Using Pearl Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist I sprayed some sheets from The DCWV All About Girls stack, and let them Dry. I then used my Cameo & Lettering Delights Quilled Flowers SVG Set, in order to create the 3d flowers. . The flowers were sized in my Make the Cut Software between 4-4.75 inches I hot glued the flowers onto the frame to make sure they were really glued.

**The flowers were so easy to assemble. Just roll and glue**

I tied a Bow with some fun Glittery Blue Ribbon and added a Button Threaded with some Pink Timeless Twine baker's twine.

I added my little dancer from PKSC-06 June 2012 which I colored with my Prismacolor Pencils and cut out.  I added some sparkle using Sticklers then added my little stamp on an Action Wobble which I also hot glued onto the frame for added stability

I hope you like this project and that it inspires you.

Make sure you visit the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog to link up your project and check out the other design team inspiration. Thank you.

Terrific Tuesday Challenge: Hearts

Hiya,

Today is another Terrific Tuesday Challenge with Scrappy Moms!

Today's Challenge is to create a project that features hearts!  Easy Enough Right?!!
Here is my project!

bear in envelope card

Isn't this little bear the cutest? I got him a while ago from Designs on Cloud 9 when he was the weekly Freebie, but he's for sale now here

Anyways when you get the file all the pieces come completely separately, which I personally do not like. So I went ahead and "put them together" in my make the cut software, utilizing the layers feature and just moving and rotating the parts and pieces so that they are stacked in a way much like the finish product. Then i was able to select the images as a whole and re-size so that the finished product is just shy of 4 inches tall. This sounds complicated but it's really not.

I then used the Shadow feature and Created 2 Shadows of the main image at .0775 inches each. One of the Shadows included the base and hearts and the other was just of the main envelope. I welded this two shadows together to create the base for my shape card.

All of the cardstock is from Recollections and all Scraps the Card base is cut from PTI Kraft Cardstock because I wanted it to be extra sturdy

bear card inside

Stamp Sets Used

  • Scrappy Moms Stamps
    • "XOXO" " Hugs" Double Hearts (inside Card), "Smaller ♥(inside Card)," Love Notes
    • "Happy Valentine's Day", "larger ♥(inside Card)," Crazy for You
    • "Special Delivery" Designer's Choice
  • PK-754 Critter Faces Set A Medium -Peachy Keen Stamps
I stamped the inside of the card with the various icon stamps from the two Scrappy Moms Stamps Valentine Sets: Love Notes(2011) & Crazy for you (2012)

The Sentiment "Sepcial Delivery" I masked off and stamped twice, once in Melon Mambo and then again in Basic Black. I punch it out with my Fiskars Cameo Apperance Punch and then cut the punched out shape in my trimmer to give it a straight edge on one side.

That's pretty much it.Added some ribbon, button, timeless twine and that's it

 Simple and adorable Card!

Hope you like it

make sure you head over to Scrappy Moms Stamps in order to join the challenge as well as check out the other design team inspiration!

Elegant Valentine's Day Card

Happy Monday Everyone

Today I am sharing with you a project I made over the weekend.

greeting farm madelynn
she's a diva! Oh Snap!

This card is 5x7. The pattern paper is from GCD Cloisonne 8x8 Paper Pad. Which I have had forever, and practially still have a ton of it still left!

I was able to go to Hyatt's and pick up a few more shades of Prismacolor Pencils to add to my collection.

I also dug through my old and dusty collection of Rubber Stamps and found this cutie named Madelynn from The Greeting farm that I purchased ages ago and she is now discontinued.

I Colored my sweet Madelynn in greys and pinks as I wanted her colors to pick up the grey in the pattern paper.

I cut around using my paper trimmer and then I inked her with SU Pretty in Pink in, k and placed her on a slightly larger white mat. I cut out a rectangle from the SVG Cuts Nested Lacey Shapes Set in red cardstock and Inked the Edges with SU Riding Hood Red Ink.

I don't know where I got the Heart doilies from. I honestly believe I found them in the $1 bin at michaels ages ago. But I added two underneath my stamped image

Found the ribbon and Heart Button in my stash and the Red/White Baker's Twine is from Timeless Twine (but of course!)

The Outside Stamp "A love without end.." is from Scrappy Moms Stamps Love Notes Stamp Set  (Last year's Valentine's release) which I stamped on a banner SVG File that I created in my make the Cut Software

inside card
Stamping on the inside of the card.

The inside I stamped  "One life, one love, one you" is also from Scrappy Moms Stamps Love Notes. While the "Happy Valentine's day" is from Crazy 4 you also from Scrappy Moms Stamps.

I hope you enjoyed this pretty quick and adorable card!

Stay tuned as tomorrow I have another cutie project for Scrappy moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge.

I *heart* U Monster Valentine

As I had stated on my PKS Blog Post, I am showcasing two additional *Peachy projects*, that you can view here

Hiya Everyone

Thank you for stopping by and visiting if you are new and hopping over from the PKS Blog.

Today I am sharing with you a super cute valentine's day card that I have created using PK-693 Monster Mash Faces 1 1/8" and PK-296 XOXOXOXO A-2 Background Stamp. I wanted to showcase the versatility of these adorable Peachy Keen Stamps that Kathy has created.

Not only Does the "face" make the project, but using the xoxo background stamp adds alot of interest to the brown cardstock which would otherwise look plain.

Details:
**This project was 100% designed and cut using My Silhouette Cameo and Make the Cut software
**The card base  shape and Layers shapes are of my own creation.
**The card is roughly  5x7. i think slightly larger.. but that's okay I will just have to make my own envelope for this one.

The brown paper cardstock is Papertrey ink Dark Chocolate stamped with the XOXO Background stamp using Stampin Up Early Expresso Ink. All of the edges are Inked with Walnut Stain Tim Holtz Distress ink.

The Pattern Paper is from YT24023 Yours Truly 6x6 by Echo Park.

After I cut out my cute little monster with my Cameo I then proceed to ink various parts of the body with different ink colors. I inked the Blue Body with Stampin up Baja Breeze and TIm Holtz Walnut Stain Distress ink, and the horns and hair I inked with Stampin up Pretty in Pink and Tim Hotlz Distress ink.
I then assembled the monster and went doodle overboard like always :) with my
I stamped the adorable face, bringing my monster to life using PK-693 Monster Mash Faces 1 1/8" and Paper trey Ink True Black ink. I added the white of the eyes and doodling with my gelly roll pen.
The Rosy cheeks were created using a dry paint brush and Riding Hood Red Stampin Up ink.

I created the Mini Banner using a bunch of files from Lettering Delights

The Banner shape I created using the Basic Borders SVG Set. I used the singular Scallop and adjusted it to fit my needs.

The font is from Lettering Delights, LD Typeset font that I cut with make the cut software
I finished the project off with some red Swiss Dot grosgrain ribbon that I bought at michael's ages ago, and a black button. I tied some accent bows using Cherry red & Natural White baker's twine from Timeless Twine. My personal favorite.
I hope you enjoy this project, and that it inspires you to use your Peachy Keen Stamps in a Fun creative way.

As I had stated on my PKS Blog Post, I am showcasing two additional Peachy projects, that you can view here

PKS Guest Designer Day 1: Easter Layout

HIYA!!!!!
                                             ***AND HAPPY LABOR DAY*****

if you are just arriving here from Peachy Keen Stamps, welcome, Please feel free to follow if you'd like or visit my youtube as well.  :)

In case you didn't know already.. Today is day 1 of my Peachy Keen Stamps Guest Designer week. I will be posting all week on the PKS Blog, as here as well. I have alot of great projects to share with you this week, so I hope you stay tuned.

For Today's project I created a layout, because I'm very very behind on my scrapbook pages (aren't we all??)

IMG_20110904_230209
The Whole Layout
I decided to create an Easter scrapbook page. Since I only have 1 picture of my daughter with the Easter bunny this year I opted to create a layout centered around the 5x7 print. I am a steadfast believer of making simple quick yet adorable layouts and this project came together in a total of 45 Mins. I don't have much time to craft, so I have to monopolize on what time I do have. :)

For this project I used the PK-44 Cute and Cuddly Faces 1 1/8” Stamp Set along with Lettering DelightsPeepSVG Set (for the adorable bunny and hop hop hop title) along with my Make the Cut Software

I didn't have any “seasonal” Paper so I used what I had on hand an older DCWV All about Girls pattern paper stack because of the fun assortment of colors.

All of the hearts were hand cut using the old fashioned fold-a-paper-in-half-and-cut-half a-heart technique using scissors, I used my Sakura white Gelly roll pen and some Glitter Glue to dress them up a bit

IMG_20110904_230228
Hand-cut Hearts
The Picture from the Mall orginally came with a horrible ugly border that I couldn't match to anything so the easiest thing for me to do, was just cut it off, and create my own photo mats, which the largest is 5x7 (kraft)

It's pretty simple to see what I did here. I made sure to add entirely too much doodling, I always get carried away once I start... :-P

Episode 92: The Cutting Cafe Shaped Card w/ Make the Cut Tutorial

hey there,

Whew. Let me just tell you it was very difficult getting this video up. The first few attempts of making it the Make the cut tutorial section the sound was garbled so I ended up having to record it with NO sound and do 100% screen annotations which was very time consuming. The end result is very effective i think, and its a good tutorial.

just to let you know the first few minutes of the tutorial (for make the cut)there is no sound, but I there will be sound again when I show you how to put the card together.

I am so happy to be back in my groove making videos for you again, and I hope you enjoy this

This month for the Cutting cafe the Monthly inspiration is SHAPE CARDS.  Regina has created a plethora of ADORABLE cute shape card cutting files which in many many instances come with matching sentiments.

The shape card file that I'm using is called Candy Shaped Card. This set comes with not only 1 but 3 templates for cutting candy shaped cards  and matching sentiments. I am using the Peppermint Shaped Card template from that set.

the sentiment I am using comes from Scrappy Moms Stamps Sweet Somethings stamp set.

Hope you enjoy my card and tutorial

Gnomeo oh Gnomeo....

hey there,

My blog has been a little alienated lately. About 8 days left of prep until my show and I'm seriously hating crafting right now. I'm just so sick of making the same things over and over again. can you feel me.

I took a break to make a cute little card for the latest Peachy Keen Stamps Tuesday Challenge. It was a sketch challenge w/ a twist.. Use bling!
Here is my Card..

The Pattern Paper is from the Cricut Imagine Hopscotch Cartridge. The Sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps.

For my Card I used the Lettering Delights Good Luck Gnomies
I used my Make the Cut Software to Cut him out. Oh my goodness I was so happy they released this cute svg set, because I was seriously thinking about buying Freshly Picked Cricut Cartridge JUST for the Gnome Images. This is a wayy cheaper Option

ALSO LETTERING DELIGHTS IS HAVING A BOGO sale on SVGs will end tonight. Click here to shop before the coupon (SVGBOGO) expires at midnight tonight.

After my Show March 19th, I'll resume my normal videos and daily posting. I'm sooo sorry I have been MIA, but I swear i'm really working like a maniac to get everything ready for the 6 hour show.

Love ya'll so much <3
