Scrappy Moms Sneak Peek Week : Spring Fling & Kids Inc.

Hey there,

Today is a wonderful day because today is the start of a brand new Scrappy Moms Stamps Sneak Peek week. This week will be filled with wonderful inspiration from the Scrappy Moms designers to showcase their TWO newest Releases Spring Fling and Kids Incorporated. NOW FOR SALE!!!

I cannot say how much I love these two stamp sets. Kids Inc, is great for giving kids cards, using on Scrapbook pages and just everything for Children

Spring Fling has all the sentiments you need to get you from St. Pattys all the way to Cinco De mayo all in one fun stamp set

Today I have two cards for you, one showcasing each of the stamp sets.

This first card I created using A Child's Year, for the card base and shape, Give a hoot for the banner, then Simply Charmed for the Chick and Egg, I used my PKS 464 Everyday face parts to stamp an adorable face on the chickie. I used the sentiment from Spring Fling  " You crack me up"

For the Second Card I used Lettering Delights Doug's Outer Space SVG Set. this set is so cute and I thought it went just perfectly with some recollections paper I had in my stash. Super cute for only 5 dollars. I used my Make the Cut software to cut the images out, as well as make the octagon card base shape. I finished off the card with the Kids Inc Sentiment " I love you to the moon and back" and some glossy accents & Twine :)

make sure you check out the rest of the design team's projects as well as our Monthly Guest Designer and go over to Scrappy Moms and place your order (you know you want to ;-P )

Companion Challenge : Birthday Bash!

Hey Friends,

I hope you are all ready for another companion challenge. This week's challenge is to create a Project inspired by Birthdays. This could be a card, a layout, an altered item. Anything that you can make using your cricut.

This was actually a huge challenge for me. because out of all the cartridges I own I couldn't think of something that was birthday-ish. But then I remembered I had a Cut that someone had sent me from a RAK from "Flourish Cricut Lite" and it said Happy birthday, So I constructed a 2 page layout from that.

This week's companion is Abby. She made an adorable masculine gift bag with matching card using DCWV the guy stack. DOn't you just love her color combination, the pattern of the paper goes awesome with the Bloc Party Cricut Light Cartridge she used.

I love the combination of patterns and textures, with her card and bag. It gives it extra something and looks fantastic GREAT JOB!!

Also, I have my incredible amiga Momo who was able to whip something seriously last minute, for me . On Such super short notice. So huge HUGS to her!!  :) She made this awesome Card using Create a critter Cricut Cartridge. Can you believe how cute this came out!!!

I adore the white stiching around the border of the card, and how it goes together with the ribbon. I think we will all agree that she is great at picking out paper, and that's the hardest part for me

Ok now onto my project. I was inspired by my little brother's Birthday. He just turned 5 (yes I know HUGE age gap between me and him and I used to be the Youngest) so I created a fun layout using my favorite paper Basic Grey Offbeat, ( so sad it's discontinued). I also Used the A Child's Year Cricut cartridge, and all of the little boys are cut at 4.5 inches

I do usually have video for my companion challenge, BUT, I just uploaded a video yesterday :-P

Tomorrow though I will show another project I made with this theme!

The Prize for this challenge is KINDA huge in my opinion!!

Hannah Montana Cricut Cartridge

As akways there are a few guidelines for this challenge

1. Only one entry per person
2. Project based on orginality
3. Project must use the theme "birthdays"
4. Project made specifically for this challenge, no older projects allowed.
5. Must use at least 1 cricut cut, but it doesn't have to be from a cartridge, MTC, SCAL totally acceptable

Deadline for the project is Septemeber 1st.
Winner will be drawn using random.org

Episode 11: NSD MPS Challenge #7 "Hey Dad" card

I loved this challenge. I made a fathers day card for my dad. And I made it early :) I was finally able to use some of the carolyn gavin greenhouse designer paper, and the bazzil cardstock I purchased yesterday to match it. I loved the Image on a child's year and it reminded of me of doing things with my dad just the two of us. Even though of this was an accurate monogram i would be the taller of the two.  I felt so cleaver that I found 2 scraps just the right size to fit with my card, and in a color that matched pretty close I think. Spruced up my page with some american crafts elements Blue Skies Brads in the chocolate color. Bazzil Cardstock is Hillary & tropical breeze
