Minions Birthday Card

If you've seen Despicable Me 2 you probably known about the Evil Minions. I'm working on a card for that minion but I just need to figure out the hair :) So maybe you'll see that in the future

Episode 130: One Layer Masculine Birthday Card

Hi All,

Today I wanted to try my hand at making Clean and Simple Birthday Cards.

This may be a simple card but it was a challenge as i find it hard not to add lots of embellishments and other do-dads. I've been pinning some inspiration over on my pinterest board, so maybe I will have a few more of these types of cards in the future

The entire project was less than 5 minutes start to finish, I didn't even have to edit the video which is a huge time saver

I hope you like it

Episode 128: Birthday Cake Card using Miss Kate Cuttables

Hey Everyone

I took the last few days off since my little one had her first days of school and it was emotially and physically exhausting for me (very early mornings!!!!)

I will add the photos that I took on the first day onto my School scrapbook Album. I'm having them printed via the Groovebook Iphone App. Once my photos come in I will post more about that

This week I am moving onto Birthday Theme Projects!

This project was inspired by my old sketchbook that I found when my sister was helping me clean/organize my craft room. Many Sketch Gems in that book that I will be working out of slowly but surely.

Here is my project

Episode 127: Simple Apple Teacher Card

Hi Everyone,

Today I have another project to share with you. I am still going with the Back to School theme and I was going through my Stash and I found some adorable Simple Stories Papers from the Summer Fresh Collection

Although the collection is designed for "Summer", I think that the color palate is perfect for the transition into fall and most importantly back to school.

I combined my Summer Fresh papers with Some red Cardstock from the American Crafts Earth Tone Variety Pack

Two Stamped Cards

Hello There,
I have been making cards recently but I haven't been so good about taking pictures of them- since they were mailed almost immediately to their destinations

Here are some c rds that I did manage to take quick pictures of using my cell phone

This first picture was one of the many Mother's day cards I made.

Mothers day Card #1
I used this stamp set from Inkadinkado (Inkadinka Clings) Rubber Stamp

Inkadinkado - Inkadinkaclings Collection - Rubber Stamps - Floral Bouquet
Inkadinkado-Inkadinkaclings Collection- Floral Bouquet

I bought these from Scrapbuck.com ages ago but never used them.

I colored the flowers with my Spectrum Noir Markers and used some Glossy Accents on the case and stickles on portions of the floral park

I actually stamped the boquet twice and cut and colored the largest flowers purple and popped them up. It's really breathtaking in real life

The sentiment is from an E.A.D designs Stickerz that I had laying around.
...
The second was a sympathy card

photo (1)

This was a rubber stamp that I got on Clearance at my local scrapbook store, I also colored this with my spectrum noir Markets, and the sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps

I just colored this and added a little bit of Stickles to the lotus flowers

Both of these cards werte on the simple side for me, but Like I said I was in a urgent rush to get these mailed ou

Hope you like these projects.

Christmas Greetings Card

Today I wanted to share with you a Christmas Card a made a little while ago

DSCN1941
All of my circles were kind of funky because my Martha Stewart Circle Cutter needs a new blade

This card was inspired by of course a mojo monday sketch. I kind of threw it together on the Fly one day, so it's not as Perfect as I like my cards but it's still pretty never the less.

I found these Cling Mounted Rubber stamps at Tuesday Morning for $1.99 over the summer so I of course went and picked them up. You can find them online here

I also grabbed this paper last year or the year before. I'm such a paper hoarder, so Probably even longer ago. But I decided now as as good as time as ever to try them out

The little tag is from Cuttlebug baby face die set (this is discontinued) and I could only find it for sale here (I have no idea why it's so expensive! I'm pretty sure I got it for only $2 back in the day)

The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps Mini Messages and fit perfectly inside the tiny tag

For my project I was inspired by a card that My Design Team sister Jenny made Here

Jenny's Project- My design Inspiration

Orginally I wanted to try to make the twine diecuts, but after several failed attempts I decided to just copy her simple layout. I wanted to try to the clean and simple approach to cardmaking as my cards can be very involved with many layers.

Jenny used two pattern papers, one as a base and the other as a strip across and here is my attempt to replicate that simple clean style.

Untitled
My project using Jenny's layout as inspiration. As you can see, I made it my own!

I went through my scraps and found some cardstock that would make a really nice card. I actually made some videos of my design process here, as well as a very detailed video of my coloring incase you were curious how I created such detailed shading on my project

My videos are divided in two parts because believe it or not this card was super time consuming

All stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps
All papers are from Recollections- available at Michael's
Pattern paper is from the Recollections Autumn Splendor

Hope you like it have a great day

here is my project

Untitled

This was one of the most Labor Intensive Coloring Jobs I have completed to date. Completly colored with Prismacolor Pencils

Just for an idea of the size of this stamp set, This card is 5x7 and the main image is about 4x4

The pattern papers are from Recollections Ravenhead Manor (from last year) and the background stamp is also part of this PKS release, stamped in Crumb Cake ink

I wrapped some Halloween Timeless Twine around the card to finish it off

I wanted to keep the card layout simple since the image was the main focus.

Hope you like it. Head over the PKS Blog everyday this week to check out plenty of more sneak peeks

We have an incredible sale going on all weekend long!! Enjoy your long weekend!

PKS Challenge #33: Anything Goes

Hey Peachies

THE CHALLENGE
Create a project using Peachy Keen Stamps. Anything goes!
We'll be awarding "TOP PEACH" to the player who uses their Peachy Keen Stamps this week and  our two runner ups will receive a spiffy badge to display on their blog!

Guidelines:
- Design must be new
- Link up by 9/5 - 11:59 pm EST

This week I totally have fall on my mind. Maybe it's the days getting shorter, the slightly cooler weather or the fact that we are on the verge of a very Autmn Peachy Keen Stamps Mega Release

Or maybe it's because the stores are stocked up with new fall papers. Either way, I was totally motivated to create an autumn theme project

DSCN1470
For some reason this is photographed really bright. Sorry it it hurts your eyes. I couldn't find a way to fix it

I used Recollections Autumn Splendor Paper Pack that I also used in this layout and this card last fall. this is one of the best Autumn Paper packs that I have ever seen. Plus the price point is nice

I cut strips of paper at 3/4" x 6" and then mounted them on a piece of 4" x 5 1/2" computer paper using a scotch glue stick. I then trimmed off the excess. I adhered that onto a piece onto my Kraft Card base. I also sewed the card a bit using my sewing machine

I used PKS-05 Scarecrow Girl for my Image (stamped on a piece of 3x4 cardstock), and one of the included faces stamped using Black Ranger Archival Pigment ink and colored it in with my Prismacolor Pencils. I rounded the edges with my Corner Chomper

I inked the edges of my main image with  SU Pumpkin Spice and SU Crumb Cake ink  and mounted it on a piece of 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" white cardstock which I also rounded the edges with my corner chomper.

I took a 4 inch white paper Doily and folded it into 6 triangles (fold and score in half 3 times) then cut the triangles apart. I then adhered the triangles on the back of the white cardstock using a scotch glue stick to make a lace border. I then added the finished image to the front of my card using Pop dots

I added a Raffia bow to the front main image using my hot glue gut. Some stickles on my scarecrow girl's cheek's and it's all finished.

Hope you like my project and it inspires you to join in the challenge.

Please make sure to hop on over the PKS  Challenge Blog to submit your own project and check out the other design Team inspiration

have a great day! (and long weekend for those of you who are off of work on Monday too!)

Triple loop Bows

 TGIF,

Hey Papercrafters. Today is my Design Team Day over on the timeless Twine blog and I'm sharing a really cool tip on how I make my triple Loop twine bows

Here is the card that I made with this little Tip. I apologize in advance for the crappy picture. My Camera batteries haven't been lasting and seem to die after just 1-2 pictures. That's probably because I charge them for only like 5-10 minutes at a time because I'm impatient

Untitled

The Card is size standard A2 from Kraft Cardstock. I then added a scrap piece of white cardstock which I ran through my cuttlebug folder.   I use scraps of Bazzil Red and Blue Cardstock to add onto the card, cutting the large blue piece into a banner shape.

Today's post is going to be just a tip on how to recreate this style  twine bow on your own Projects.

Trust me it's alot easier than it looks

Thanks

PKS & Timeless Twine Design Team Day: I miss you card

Hey everyone

Today is my Design Team Day at Peachy Keen Stamps, and As well as Timeless Twine.
So I thought I would make a project featuring the cuteness of Both

DSCN1395

This card is sized 3.75x 7

I colored Darren and Laura Lee sing my Prismacolor pencils/ Gamsol and cut them out.

Tip: for the African American Skin tones I used Prismacolor Pencils Sienna Brown, Dark Brown, Dark & Dark Umber

The pattern paper is cut at 3.5x 6.5

The sentiment I miss you, is stamped 3 times in Black Ink and then cut out using Pattern Papers.

The twine heart was made using Liquid adhesive which I drew a thin line, and added a piece of twine.

Stitching lines down each side of the Card finish this project.

I hope this project inspires you and that you have a fantastic Day!
