Episode 122: Birthday Card in Less than 15 Minutes

I decided to challenge myself to make a birthday card in less than 15 minutes. It's a lot harder than it looks. Technically if you into consideration the time when I decided to do this challenge, until completion of the challenge, it would be very difficult- since coming up with ideas is usally the hardest part for me.

But feel free to use THIS idea. to make a quick and simple birthday card for any age :)

PKS: February '13 Challenges

I've got 2 cards to share toda.

I had decided to make projects for the Feb PKS Release Challenge over on The Peachy Keen Connection

Challenge 1:  Create a project using both Polka Dot and Stripes

Here is my project

  Lion Birthday card

I used the Cute Lion (50 cents) from Miss Kate Cuttables to create an Easel Card.

The Polka dot pattern paper is Echo Park Dots and Stripes Aqua

The Striped Pattern Paper is American Crafts Craft Fair Doris Spooler (Stripes on one side and  Solid yellow on the other)

The Brown Ribbon is also from American Crafts

The sentiment comes from Scrappy Moms Stamps Dancing in Circles, while the center paw comes from Amusing Animals

I used PK-755 Critter Faces SET A Large for this project

Challenge 2: Create a Monochromatic Project

Here is my project

Monochromatic Card

I decided to go with a 1 layer Craft Card. All Stamps are from the PKSC-13 January 2013

This was accomplished using

Stampin Up Crumb Cake Ink
PTI Chocolate Chip Ink
Versamark Pen
White Gel Pen

And a good bit of Masking

I also add a little bit of chalking on to the bear to add a little color.

I also creatively threaded some  Kraft Timeless Twine on my card  to make it look more dimension

Hope you like my projects!

Doctor Who Valentine's Day Card

In my house we are really hugs Doctor Who fans,

so this card came to me in a prescription induced sleep, so I had to make it the moment I was feeling better

DSCN2233
this card is 5x7

I designed the TARDIS in my Silhouette Studio Designer Edition and using P-N-C I put the tardis together. Actually very simple as the words and windows were just plan squares with the printed design.

I inked them with Not Quite Navy Stampin up Ink for that distressed look

Okay I know the windows didn't come out 100% perfect, but hey... it's homemade!

The colors of the other layers, I just used the eyedropper and pick them from the pattern paper for a perfect match

My heart is yours ...Card

Happy Sunday!

I'm still recovering from my Oral Surgery from Friday,

but I thought I would quickly share a project I made for the newest Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge

I decided to use my Cameo to make a card because it was getting kind of neglected

From the silhouette online store:
Lori Whitlock 7 Labels  (Design ID #26396 )
Samantha Walker  Hug and a Heart (Design ID #37787 )
Glitz Design Love Nest Polka (Design ID #30128 )
Ashalee Grid Pattern  (Design ID #34795)

I really enjoyed this color scheme, it's a really rich and warm combination

This card is A2

Brown Timeless Twine

I actually mostly printed and cut everything on this card using my printer/cameo using American Crafts white cardstock

Except the brown card stock behind the pattern paper layer, that's from Papertrey ink

This adorable face comes from PKSC-05 May 2012 SOTM Kit
Love these faces!

I added glossy accents then red stickles to the heart and hairbows to make them really stand out

The little girl is on an action wobble as well, super fun!

I hope you love this project as much as I do!
