February Scrapbooking Class video (episode 90)

hey friends,

it took a while but here it is the video/

You can find the full supply list for this class here, as well as information on purchasing kits for my past and future scrapbooking kits.

I added a few extra embellishments and decided to move the placement of my diecut little girl from where I put it in the video. I think it looks much better this way. The fabric brads as well as the thick pink ribbon are from Stampin Up. I also added a ton of Opal Glitter Glue all over the diecuts. I love how fun and glittery it is.

As well As I have a winner for my February Challenges to announce. the Winner of Spring Holiday Cards Cricut Cartridge is

Feb Scrapbook Class News

Hey there friends,

I just got word of a scheduling conflict in my household (no DH) therefore I won't be able to have my class live for you all :( What I am going to instead is record the Class as a youtube video and am going to aim to have that posted on here by 10pm tonight EST for you to watch instead. It would be nearly impossible for me to watch my daughter AND host a live class, so this is the best I am going to be able to do tonight.

I am going to put in as much detail about completing the layout as I possibly can so that you will be able to complete your layouts at your own leisure. I Sincerly aplogize about this but there is nothing I can do about it. I'm super dissapointed myself because this is usually my free time I get to communicate with you and answer your questions in real time.

Since I was planning on having 3 giveaways during the course of my class I am going to offer them up on my blog post with my video and all you will have to do is  Comment about my class (leave some feedback) or leave a question you had for me to answer for you, in order to have a chance to win one of the 3 prizes.

I will post up a chatango Chat room on my website for you ladies to use to chat with each other since I know that is something you like to do during my classes.

cute cards and a video! (episode 89)

 hey ladies,

I'm quickly just popping in to share with you two cards that I made last week that I forgot to post.

I created these  cards using Lettering Delights Weather Girl SVG Set
isn't this set the cutest in the entire world I just love love love these girls. I just can't wait to use them in some more cards.

I used the Make the Cut Blackout feature to hide her face parts, and cut her out at 4 inches and then stamped her a cute face with PK-640 Princess Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps

I made a few of these cards (8) using the same formula and various Scrappy Moms Stamps Simple Sentiments. I thought the bold typeface of these stamps added just alot to the cards

The wavy frame is s SVG file  of my own creation available for free download here for you to use in SCAL or MTC software.

I have a quick video for you as well today on how to create some quick and easy homemade glue dots.

I hope you enjoy the video

have a great day!!!

I'm a Card factory!!

Hey friends,

Some of you may know that I have been a very busy lady lately. I have been spending nearly all of my time preparing for my upcoming craft show. I have been trying to the best of my ability to keep this blog up to date in the mean time.

Yesterday I made 12 sets of 4 cards. YES 48 cards , in a row non-stop. The best trick for mass producing is once you get in a groove try to stay in it as long as possible. I am lucky to be able to have 2 machines that I could use at the same time. I was cutting from my Imagine using my Gypsy and my Expression using the cartridge and overlay. Since I was working with the same cartridge for the card sets it was easy enough to have everything cut out.

From start to finish it took me about 2 hours solid work time, and you know what I am proud of that. These are what I would call KIS cards  (KEEPING IT SIMPLE). they aren't what I would normally make if i was making 1-2 cards but because i was making 12 of each , I kept things down to the bare minimum

I packaged the cards with white envelopes in 6x9 cello bags, folding the excess cello over in the bag and taped shut with scotch tape.

** I have submitted these card pack for the CCCC#7  Challenge over at More than Favors , the challenge was to use the paisley cartridge, and you know what, I did that for sure!!***

I need to stop blogging and get back to work!! I've got a craft show to prepare for. I hope you like my cards. I do stop and take breaks to read comments, so lots of love is totally appreciate. you ladies are too nice to me and really inspire me to keep this blog going when things get busy . Love ya'll!!!

Terrific Tuesday w/ Scrappy Moms Stamps: Create a Critter

Hey There friends
It's time for another Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at Scrappy Moms Stamps. This week we are playing with Everyone's Favorite cartridge, Create-a-critter.

If you do not have this cartridge, it's alright you are still welcome to play, just make sure you use another cartridge with similar cuts.

We want everyone to join in and have a great time.

This week for my project I decided to try to attempt to create a little bit more of a masculine feel card. I still wanted to keep it fun, and cute.

The card size is 5x7
I cut barn at 2.10 inches and the cow at 2.25.
I actually wasn't happy with the layering on the Create a Critter Cartridge for the barn, So I took a few extra steps to change it up a bit.
I actually cut the barn out twice in red in both layers then used my exacto knife to cut out the x cut lines the cricut makes I then after glueing the two red parts together I trimmed off the roof. with a pair of scissors. I then cut another an additional base image for the barn in white and layered this on.  I used my Gypsy to Hide Contour the heart from the barn to keep it more masculine.I hope this makes sense

The pattern paper is from K&company Super Paper Pad
The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps Furry Friends  NOW ON SALE

Make sure you hop over and check out the other Design Team Creations Here
