Scrappy Moms Stamps New Releases!

Hey there Crafty Bloggers Today Is a brand new release from Scrappy Moms Stamps, and this week they are releasing two fantastic stamp sets that are now shipping

Here is my project for today

Untitled

My card is sized at 3.75x9 and fits in a standard size envelope made from Kraft Cardstock
I stamped the background using SU Crumb Cake ink
and two stamp sets from Papertrey Ink
Polka Dot Basics II Stamp Set and Background Basics: Geometrics Stamp Set

The background was made using a 1/4 inch mask using Repositionable Adhesive and Computer paper, all around the outside border of the card. I then used a 1/4 inch strip across the  approximate center of the card to make two seperate sections. in the top section I used the Grid Stamp from Papertrey ink Background Basics Geometrics, in the Crumb cake ink, then in the second section using the large Polka dot background from the Polka Dot Basics II Set.  I then removed the Masks from the Card

I then went around the outside of the card using my Tsquare and a white Gel Pen with Straight Lines on the Masked Sections

And wrapped some  Red & White Timeless Twine across the center of the card 3 times, and ended with a bow.

The main image of my Card, my little teen girl is cut at 8 inches tall. I did something new with her hair, I cut her hair out of brown cardstock then using my various Prismacolor Pencils in shades of brown went and  drew in her hair, to give it depth and texture.

I also added similar accents to her Jeans and Top

My Teen's Face is Stamped with one of the newest releases from Peachy Keen Stamps  the PK-112 Cherub Faces  using Ranger Jet Black Ink

Finally for the crowing piece of the Card. My Stamp using the newest Scrappy Moms Stamps release
"You've got style" from Girls just want to have Fun Set Also Stamped using Ranger Jet Black Ink

Makes this one stylish and adorable card.

I hope you enjoy my project!

Peachy keen stamps challenge: Anything goes

Hey friends,

Today is another challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps, and the challenge is anything goes. As long as you use your Peachy Keen Stamps anything you make you can link up for this challenge.
Untitled
I was able to make this years scrapbook page for my daughter's visit with the Easter Bunny.

I was totally inspired to do something new with my ribbon from the latest issue of Scrapbooks etc. They had showed the sew ribbon tools. so when I designed this layout in my Make the Cut Software. I made sure to  make little notches in my paper where I can weave the ribbon in and out across  where the photo would go. I think it came out so fun, and I can't wait to do this more.

Both Cute little Easter Bunny's are from Kadoodle Bug Designs "Bunny Hiding in Egg" and "Bunny in Basket" Both of these were previous freebies from Kadoodle Bugs and I love their files

I was able to give them cutie faces using PK-441 Cute and Cuddly 1 1/8"

This layout also features REAL SEWING and lots of doodle as well. So fun!

and no project of mine would be complete without some Timeless Twine, I am using the Bubble Gum Pink & White

The title and the "2012" I created using computer fonts and Make the Cut.

A quick little notebook

Today I just wanted to share this cute little notebook that I made.

Its not my typical color pallet but I think all of the colors work so well together.

Untitled
This little notebook has cover sized at 4.5x5.75 and internal pages sized 4.25x5.5

I am using PK-104 What Time is it?? for the background and PKSC-04 April 2012 Peachy Keen Stamp of the Month Kit for the cute tea cup which I paper pieced. The sentiment comes from Scrappy Moms Stamps  "Freshly Brewed:

Which I think works great because I'm giving this little notebook to my coworker.

I finished this book off with a little Bow tied from some Timeless Twine which is the perfect finish

Oh before I forget here's a quick tip. Cant find an Acrylic Block Big enough to Stamp your PKS A2 sized Stamps.. If you own a Cuttlebug, then you have one you can use. The B plate makes a great easy to use makeshift acrylic Block. :)

Just a tip!!

Have a great day

April PKS Stamp of the Month Sneak Peeks

Hey Friends

Today is my day to post sneak Peeks for the latest PKS Stamp of the month club kit releases. This release is so fun. Intitally when I saw it, I totally thought it was a new style for PKS but then after playing with it. I decided that it can be so peachy cute, and so peachy sophisticated as well.

This set works great with Both masculine and feminine projects too.

Here are my two projects I am sharing today.

This first is a card, Yes I know I know. I make too many cards, but I promise next week when it's my Posting day for PKS I have the cutest layout to share with you!!

Untitled

Both the main image and the sentiment come from the April Stamp of the Month Club Kit. This card is aprox 4.75x 5.75. I sized it so that it would be sized to the stamp. I didn't want it to be too big of a card.  The paper is from Basic Grey offbeat collection (my favie discontinued paper) and I used some SU simply Charteruse ribbon.

I rouched it along the edges of the Mat. I stamped my block on brown AC cardstock and colored him using a paintbrush and reinkers for SU Soft Suede and Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap Inks. I paper pieced the face in kraft cardstock , stamped it in SU crumb cake ink for the clock face (numbers), then in Basic Black I added an actual face.

For my second project I made a book using my Bind It all.

Untitled

This book is top binded 4.25 x 5.5 sized pages. the Cover is a 1/4 inch larger. I used Cereal boxes covered in Kraft for the cover, and All the paper is from American Crafts.  The blue Polka dot has red on the reverse side and is from the Craft Fair Collection (probably discontinued because i've had it forever) the green is also from the same pack.

The Alarm Clock and Face are both from the Stamp of the Month Main Kit and the Dacquiri & Sentiment  is from one of the many cute add-on kits. This is to show that they can be used together or seperately.
The lemon Paper is from American Crafts Every day paper pack. IF you look closly to the red cardstock you will see a preview of one of the awesome backgrounds that is coming out from PKS.

The whole thing is binded with 5/8 O wire. And lets just say this is a thick little book. I plan on brining this to work to I can remember that it's 5'O clock somewhere.. (I also get out of work at 5:00 too )

I punched a small strip using the fiskars threading water punch, and added some Olive Green Twine from Timeless Twine.

Hope you love it. Make sure you check out the rest of the design team for more inspiration!

hugs!
