Mojo 141

Happy Memorial Day.
Hope everyone takes the time to think about our fallen heros, whether they be armed forces or our police and fire fighters. They are heros as well. Remember those who put their lives at risk in the line of duty, to keep us all safe.

On that note. My Flip VIdeo Decided to Break this weekend and I lost all my episodes. I am going to be filming using my backup camcorder, while I have mine send back to the manufacter (defect so being replaced) But i to be honest won't be fiming as much because it's not as easy as my Flip. But at least i'm lucky it was under warrenty.

Before a cookout at my friend's house i was able to whip up a quick card for mojo monday ( I'm almost forgot since it's been a long weekend)

Episode 22: Double Page Layout (DPL) Wild by Nature

I am burning the midnight oil tonight my fellow crafters. I didn't sleep to well last night ( had a bit of heat rash that was bothering me) and slept in for a good part of the afternoon now my sleep schedule is a bit off. The rest of the family is asleep that I thought that I would take the time to post up my project that I completed.

I really was tempted to fill my layout with little critters and animals but decided that might take away from the cutness of the photos themselves, so i decided to use some flowers from the "accent" feature of give a hoot cartridge. I figure I might go ahead and do a series a projects with this cartridge for a little while since I haven't used it to much.

Please take the chance if you haven't already to sign up for the giveaway, there are only a few days left and I will drawing the winner June 1st.

Episode 21: Trifold You're a peach Card

Wow I'm really dropping the ball lately. I made an episode for an easel card, my computer ate it :( before I could upload it to youtube> yay another video deleted !! I need to save them before I upload them, but life with a squirmy worm of a 7 month old is crazy. I went to the zoo today and that was a blast. I sent my pictures to be developed and will be picking them up! So do you know what this means?!!! Another layout day tomorrow! Hopefully my daughter decides to take a nice long nap so that I can have a chance to craft. We've been out of the house everyday this week since it's been 90s here. And for new york that's incredible!!

Didn't get a chance to take a picture of this project becuase the camera was already packed away for the zoo. Please take a chance to visit my facebook page where you can see the easel card that didn't make it. I more often am able to post there via mobile.

Mojo 140

I am proud that this mojo monday submission is on time.

I decided to use my 6x6 Kioshi paper pad that I purchased at CKC and from there I just played around. I was going to have my main image be a stamp that I was going to color and layer but after trying around I didn't have the right colors to match close enough. They were too bright and this is more of a subtle card. I then decided that I wanted to use something from "Just because cards" because I didn't make anything with it just yet. Found the little sheep, and when I put it on my A2 Card template on my gypsy I realized that I had to make it really big (5.75) in order for it to be an appriopiate sized image for the card.

CKC Buffalo 2010

Whew, what a weekend. I spend the last two days in Buffalo for the creating keepsakes convention. Here I am going to share a glimpse of the convention with you guys. I recorded some of my favorite display projects and samples from the booths. I will be leaving the FULL version of the video on my youtube account for you to see.

I wanted to share some of the spots that I found had amazing deals
Scrapbuck.com Had an amazing booth where I was able to buy alot of stacks of K and Company Paper for 5 dollars!!! As well as a whole crate of Prima GOt flowers for 6 bucks. I did a quick assestment of their website, and thought it was worth sharing with you

For Punches, and Fiskars scissors, thecraftdeal.com had some really amazing deals on punches. I picked up a few here, :) only 8 dollars, as well as some really great non stick scissors that work suprisingly well on ribbon far superior to my cutterbee scissors

I found an amazing deal on copic markers, and was able to purchase some for 3 dollars each. I took the time to check on my blackberry for the papertreyink matching colors, and picked up 10 markers for only 30 dollars. I was really excited about that. I will post the name of the company if I can remember( i just got home and will have to go through my reciepts)

From Your scrap source, i was able to buy some closeout deals. I got a scrapbook bag for 15 dollars!!!!! I was floored because I saw the same bag at joanns earlier in the week for almost 40.

Needless to say I went home from the past 2 days with Bags and Bags full of supplies.

I was so excited to be a teacher's assistant this year. I assisted Kim from Keller's creations for 3 of her classes(http://www.acidfree.com) and I love her projects. I was able to complete a really adorable wall hanging once I got home. ( I will have to post pictures of this later)

I hope to be making some projects for you to see starting monday, maybe sunday if I get things put away in record time

Episode 17: Nuttin' Better Card

Hey everyone,

Today just got away from me. I woke up quite early and made this card ( I swear a vision of it came to me in a dream) and I even made the video, but I left the house leaving my laptop to upload it to youtube, and the laptop died. GRR

Upsetting right?! Other than that I had a pretty productive day. I bought new organizers for my scrap area thanks to a birthday Target Gift card

Today I decided to use Give a Hoot Cricut Cartridge for this card being that I have only cut from it once, I am trying to make a valiant effort to use the cartridges I have before I go out and buy anymore.

Episode 15: Monkey Business Double Page layout

Hey there viewers.

I woke up pretty early to film this, and i wanted to share alot of things, so i had to decide it into 2 parts. Well double page layouts need twice the time :) This is pretty quick and easy if you cut everything out all at once. I cut all the vines out on one mat, made another layer, cut out the monkeys and Bananas. I didn't show it all but I've shown how to do this in other videos.

I need to get back into my posting groove but it's so difficut now that my daughter is getting so much more MOBILE. Where does time fly? I didn't even get the pictures that I want to use for this page developed, but dont worry I do have pictures that will go here.

I am also thinking about making another page where you can easily acess all of my videos in one go, so look for that shortly. I might have to convince ryan to do that for me when he comes from work. OR.. you can easily access them by going to my youtube channel here

enjoy the video. IF only one part is up that is because I'm editing/uploading the second video. GIve me some time It'll be up shortly
