Scrappy Moms Stamps Sneak Peeks Day 1

Happy Friday
Today is the start of a release weekend of Scrappy Moms Stamps.  They are releasing two fantastic Stamp sets this weekend, and I just wanted to share with you just a few projects I created with them

My First Project is using the new release "Mom's Diner" this is a food themed Stamp set but it can be used for so much more than just food.

For example check out this Fantastic Fathers Day card that I created using the Sentiment *Hey Pop!*

Untitled

Inside I am featuring sentiments from  "Girls just want to have fun"  (You've got style) and "All in the Family" (Happy Father's Day)

For my Second Project I am using the Proudly Canadian Stamp set. I am sure this is one you Canadian Fans will appreciate as it was made just for you. This would be great for use in making projects for Canada Day!

I am not Canadian by any means but I just love this Stamp set. I live about 5 mins from the US- Canada Border right on Lake Erie and have enjoyed several trips to Canada in my more youthful days. I also live in a big hockey town and my dad is a huge Vancoover Canucks Fan too (Don't get me wrong He ♥ The Buffalo Sabres too!) Tim Hortons is pretty big here as well (it's a coffee place) and are more frequently spotted than Starbucks.

So here is my project.. Once again I am not Canadian but I couldn't resist.

Untitled

I started out with a A2 Size Piece of Kraft Cardstock and layered it with a 4x5.25 Piece of red. I then took a 3.75x 5 Piece of White cardstock and stamped it with the Sentiment I♥Canada. I duplicated this sentiment evenly over the entire cardstock piece using SU Cherry Cobbler Ink. In the spaces between the sentiments I stamped the small maple leaf in SU Cherry Cobbler as well. And somewhat quickly made my own Canadian Pattern Paper.

I had a scrap lying around of Kraft cardstock so forgive me of I dont know the dimensions, so I cut it to 5.5 width and Punched it using an EK Success border punch. I then threaded some Cherry & Bright White Timeless Twine through the scalloped border punch and wrapped it around the Kraft and tied it in a bow

I cut the little Maple Leaf in my Make the Cut software and Stamped it with Peachy Keen Stamps Princess faces. Some doodling and stickles on the cheeks finishes off the card

I hope you enjoyed my projects! Please join our the rest of the Scrappy Moms Stamps Design Team, including our June Guest Designer  while we showcase the new release for you!

PKS 3D Challenge: You've Been Framed

Happy Friday! TGIF

Today is my Groups Day to post challenge Inspiration over at Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog
The Challenge Project is to Create a 3d Project featuring a FRAME and your Peachy Keen Stamps

For my Project I decided to Alter a Frame that I had purchased at Michaels. These usually run about $1 and can be found with the wooden crafts section

Untitled

For my project I started with a piece of Kraft Cardstock which I modge Podged onto the Frame. I smoothed that out and let it dry. Then cut out the excess paper using my x-acto Knife.I die cut out some chevron shapes from DCWV All about Girls Stack and modge podged them onto the frame. Once again I let them dry then cut out the excess paper using my x-acto Knife. A Final Layer of Modge Podge over the frame seals the paper.

I used some Apple Barrel White Acylic Paint and painted some twirls and my Daughter's initals PSG onto the frame. I then waited for it to dry and covered with a light layer of Modge podge

Using Pearl Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist I sprayed some sheets from The DCWV All About Girls stack, and let them Dry. I then used my Cameo & Lettering Delights Quilled Flowers SVG Set, in order to create the 3d flowers. . The flowers were sized in my Make the Cut Software between 4-4.75 inches I hot glued the flowers onto the frame to make sure they were really glued.

**The flowers were so easy to assemble. Just roll and glue**

I tied a Bow with some fun Glittery Blue Ribbon and added a Button Threaded with some Pink Timeless Twine baker's twine.

I added my little dancer from PKSC-06 June 2012 which I colored with my Prismacolor Pencils and cut out.  I added some sparkle using Sticklers then added my little stamp on an Action Wobble which I also hot glued onto the frame for added stability

I hope you like this project and that it inspires you.

Make sure you visit the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog to link up your project and check out the other design team inspiration. Thank you.

June Stamp of the Month Sneak Peeks

Happy Monday,

Today I am showcasing a sneak peek project for Peachy Keen Stamps brand new Stamp of the MOnth Club Kit for June. This one is Tutu cute and perfect for any one with a little girl who is a dancer, or even just a cute stamp set to own.

Here is my project today

DSCN1341

The pattern papers are from My Mind's Eye Nostaglia 6x6 paper pack which I purchased from my Local Scrapbook Store Buffalo Stamps

The ribbon is from my stash Stampin up So Saffron and matches perfectly.

For the background on the Kraft. I used PK-101 Medium Polka Dot and masked off horizontal strips using repositional adhesive and print/copy paper. I stamped this using some Frost White Colorbox Chalk ink. Then in the masked space, I drew doodles using my Sakura White Gel Pen.

The sentiment "I'm the get well fairy" comes from the Stamp of the Month Kit, and I stamped it using Stampin Up Basic Grey ink.

I rounded the corner of the card using my corner chomper.

I hope this card inspires you! It was so fun to make and I really wish I made a video for it.
I have another sneak peek coming for you soon :)

Have a great monday
