I wanted to make a halloween project, but I was pretty much tired of all the halloween papers that I already have so I wanted to try something different.
I also wanted to do my best to use the latest Sketch from Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge
Neon has been very in, and I wanted to try to make a project with Neon Colors. Which was a little out of my com
I dug through my stash and found that I had a whole untouched 6x6 Amy Tangerine Sketchbook paper pad, So I used that as my color inspiration
For
many of us that means changing leaves, cooler weather and pumpkin
patches. For me, it means my daughter is another year older.
This
year she has decided that she wants to have a "Strawberry Shortcake"
Birthday party and therefore I have been tasked to start the massive
decorating process.
Then it hit me, THEMED ITEMS ARE EXPENSIVE.
And with more than 3/4 of her preschool class attending. I needed to
come up with some way to make affordable treat bags that would save me
money and not be too time consuming, but still be very cute.
Fold over the top of the paper bag, must like you would a lunch bag,
NEATLY using your bone folder to crease it over as you go. This makes
all the difference
Punch 2 holes equidistant from the sides in teh bag in the top flap of the bag
Thread some twine through the holes
Using Various Punches, assemble your Character Tag then punch a hole using a hole punch
Thread your twine through the Character tag and tie it off in a Bow
Stamp Your Thank You Sentiment from PK-562 Gnomegrown on a 1 inch strip some coordinating Pattern Paper and cut one side to a banner edge
Adhere to the front of your treat bag using Foam tape
I could also see something like this is a Halloween Theme using PK-130 Spider and Web. Just Stamp the Spider Web all over your bag, creating the tag using the spider, with
maybe some Halloween themed ribbon/twine and papers.

All of the pattern paper is from Recollections Autumn Splendor which is one of my most favorite Autumn stacks. I have yet to find anything as cute!
I started out with using the following sketch for my layout
I decided to add 3 photos on the bottom instead of 2 because I couldn't decide on which photo to leave out, so i didnt! :)

Welcome to Angelica's Fond Farewell Blog
Hop. Angelica Suarez has served as the Design Team/Marketing
coordinator for Peachy Keen Stamps for the past three years, and as
many of you may have read from her post here a few days ago, she has
made the difficult decision to leave her position at Peachy Keen to persue a new and exciting opportunity in the printing industry.
We are sad to see her go, but we know that she will be a tremendous
success in this new venture, and we couldn't be happier for her.
So some of the Design Team ladies past and present have put together this blog hop in order to wish her a very fond farewell.
If you arrived here from Michelle , you
are hopping along in just the right order, but if you started here, then
you will want to go back to Peachy Keen Stamps to start at the beginning. Lost along the way Don't worry I will have the Blog List at the bottom of this post
Here is my card for Angelica
This is a 5x7 Vertical Card
I used the current Mojo MOnday Sketch #257 for the card layout inspiration
as well as the following Design Seeds Color Palate and using the closest colors I could find from my stash
This one is called Artichoke Tones
I got my addiction to Design Seeds from Angelica :)
The Pink and only pattern paper is from S.E.I Penelope's Potpourri and is the reverse of Adorned Dots
I also used the "birds and Swirls","Swiss dots" and "Polka dot" Cuttlebug Folders I have a tiny bit of Blog Candy Today. I designed an SVG Template for this card and for my blog hoppers you can download it here.
I design all of my cards in make the cut to test out the proportions..etc using the basic shapes gallery so I thought I would share my project file with you. For Make-the-Cut users I have added the project to the Gallery using the Tag Angelica_Card, just search for it through your software and you should find it!

For my project I was inspired by a card that My Design Team sister Jenny made Here
Jenny's Project- My design Inspiration
Orginally I wanted to try to make the twine diecuts, but after several failed attempts I decided to just copy her simple layout. I wanted to try to the clean and simple approach to cardmaking as my cards can be very involved with many layers.
Jenny used two pattern papers, one as a base and the other as a strip across and here is my attempt to replicate that simple clean style.
My project using Jenny's layout as inspiration. As you can see, I made it my own!
I went through my scraps and found some cardstock that would make a really nice card. I actually made some videos of my design process here, as well as a very detailed video of my coloring incase you were curious how I created such detailed shading on my project
My videos are divided in two parts because believe it or not this card was super time consuming
All stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps
All papers are from Recollections- available at Michael's
Pattern paper is from the Recollections Autumn Splendor
Woo hoo are you ready for more Scrappy Moms Stamps Sneak Peeks??
This one I actually made WITH my daughter for her teacher, That's why it's a little on the simple side for me, but it was very complicated for an almost 3 year old
This card is odd sized. It's 6 x 5.5
The pattern paper is from Last Years K&Company Halloween Stack. can't think of the name right now.
The ghosts are from Peachy Keen Stamps
We used a border punch, annd we chalked the white cardstock blue
The time where I get to finally show you some new projects made with the newest set of Peachy Keen Stamps
OF course this is a SPOOKY themed release, as Halloween is right around the corner. and there is something for everyone. Spooky-cute, creepy and classic haloween images so without further delay
here is my project
This was one of the most Labor Intensive Coloring Jobs I have completed to date. Completly colored with Prismacolor Pencils
Just for an idea of the size of this stamp set, This card is 5x7 and the main image is about 4x4
The pattern papers are from Recollections Ravenhead Manor (from last year) and the background stamp is also part of this PKS release, stamped in Crumb Cake ink
I wrapped some Halloween Timeless Twine around the card to finish it off
I wanted to keep the card layout simple since the image was the main focus.
Hope you like it. Head over the PKS Blog everyday this week to check out plenty of more sneak peeks
We have an incredible sale going on all weekend long!! Enjoy your long weekend!
