Hey Peachies

Today is another Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge, and the Theme is ANYTHING GOES (as long as you use your peachy keen stamps)

THE CHALLENGE
Create a project using Peachy Keen Stamps. Anything goes!
We'll be awarding "TOP PEACH" to the player who uses their Peachy Keen Stamps this week and  our two runner ups will receive a spiffy badge to display on their blog!

Guidelines:
- Design must be new
- Link up by 9/5 - 11:59 pm EST

This week I totally have fall on my mind. Maybe it's the days getting shorter, the slightly cooler weather or the fact that we are on the verge of a very Autmn Peachy Keen Stamps Mega Release

Or maybe it's because the stores are stocked up with new fall papers. Either way, I was totally motivated to create an autumn theme project

DSCN1470
For some reason this is photographed really bright. Sorry it it hurts your eyes. I couldn't find a way to fix it

I used Recollections Autumn Splendor Paper Pack that I also used in this layout and this card last fall. this is one of the best Autumn Paper packs that I have ever seen. Plus the price point is nice

I cut strips of paper at 3/4" x 6" and then mounted them on a piece of 4" x 5 1/2" computer paper using a scotch glue stick. I then trimmed off the excess. I adhered that onto a piece onto my Kraft Card base. I also sewed the card a bit using my sewing machine

I used PKS-05 Scarecrow Girl for my Image (stamped on a piece of 3x4 cardstock), and one of the included faces stamped using Black Ranger Archival Pigment ink and colored it in with my Prismacolor Pencils. I rounded the edges with my Corner Chomper

I inked the edges of my main image with  SU Pumpkin Spice and SU Crumb Cake ink  and mounted it on a piece of 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" white cardstock which I also rounded the edges with my corner chomper.

I took a 4 inch white paper Doily and folded it into 6 triangles (fold and score in half 3 times) then cut the triangles apart. I then adhered the triangles on the back of the white cardstock using a scotch glue stick to make a lace border. I then added the finished image to the front of my card using Pop dots

I added a Raffia bow to the front main image using my hot glue gut. Some stickles on my scarecrow girl's cheek's and it's all finished.

Hope you like my project and it inspires you to join in the challenge.

Strawberry Treat Bag

Happy Friday

Today is a double post day, to see my post for Peachy Keen Stamps, please make sure to scroll down to the next post :)

Today is my design team day over at the Timeless Twine Blog and I'm sharing another Piece of Twine Design Inspiration.

Use your twine to complete a color theme and tie a bag closed!!

My daughter is turning 3 in a few short weeks which means... I only have a few short weeks to get everything together for her Strawberry Shortcake themed Birthday Party. Naturally since I am of the crafty variety I have tasked myself with making items that could be purchased at the store (such as treat bags)

Untitled

  • I Cut this little bag on my silhouette cameo using the Lettering Delights Easter Bag (i hid the Easter bunny cut out) at 12 inches wide out of some designer cardstock, and then added a small strip of cardstock across the front.
  • I Stamped a strawberry on some white cardstock and cut it with my 1.5 inch circle punch. I layered that on a piece of black I had punched with a scallop border punch
  • Some quick coloring with my prismacolor pencils and the main image is complete.
  • A length of  Strawberry Cupcake Timeless Twine  threaded through a "For you" Sentiment from Scrappy Moms Stamps Mini Messages finishes the treat bag, and this project is cute enough for strawberry shortcake herself.
I hope this project inspires you! Have a great day!

Halloween Card

Hey Peachies

Today i'm sharing with you a fun card that I made using my Peachy Keen Stamps.

To me, Halloween is just around the corner (well as being the next crafting holiday) and I am already seeing lots of cute papers and supplies. So I decided to go through my stash of paper to see what I already have only to find 3 almost brand new paper packs that I have purchased over the last few halloweens.

I have to use up my stash first before I buy any new paper, so I decided to make a pattern heavy card.

DSCN1435

I first started with some white cardstock and built all of my layers on top of it, This card is sized 7x 4.5 but will fit in a regular 5x7 envelope. I decided I wanted to use alot of different textures and patterns so I decided to go with some ghosts shapes that I cut on my Silhoutte Cameo

I then stamped my favorite PK-693 Monster Mash Faces 1 1/8"using Black Pigment ink and colored them in using my prisma color pencils

Everything else was cut by hand. I used various strips of paper and cut them into ribbon ends. Over all I love how the card turned out. It's very vibrant and the white ghosts are still the main focus of the card.

Hope this inspires you!

Have a great day!

Here is the project that I submitted for the Design Team Inspiration for you.

Untitled

I hate to say this but this layout took me MONTHS to complete. It all started with a sketch that I had one saw in Scrapbooks ETC and I had punched out all the circles in the various pattern papers  (Basic Grey-Urban Prairie) and adhered them to the cardstock. Then I couldn't figure out what photos to use in the layout so weeks went by and I found these photos in my stash. I trimmed them and adhered them onto White Mats (also from Basic Grey Urban Prairie) but couldn't decide what do as far as embellishments and a title so It sat for a few more weeks until I got word of this challenge for Timeless Twine.

I then added some Pink Timeless Twine onto the white mats using some Scotch Quick Dry. Dug through my scraps to find some White Ric-Rac.

The Title I created in Make-the-Cut using some fonts I found online "Blackout" and "Simply Glamorous"

The Simply Glamorous font was way too thin to cut, so I created a slightly thicker version using the Shadow Layer Function in make the cut. Much More easier to work with.

The Title is actually 2 layer pieces and I will be sharing the free svg  file on my facebook page later this week if you are interested. So be on the look out!!

I then just added a big Pink Bow, A black button and some more Pink Timeless Twine and a little tid bit of Journaling using my Smashbook Label Maker and Smashbook Date Stamp

And that is the whole  project. Looks simple enough but it took me month's to complete :)

I hope you enjoyed this project, and Please make sure to stop by the Timeless Twine Blog to join in the Challenge, and check out the other design team inspiration.

I'm also adding this project to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge.
My Combination for the challenge is Buttons/Die-cut/Ribbon

Fun Little Notebook

**I just realized this never posted on my blog so I'm re-posting it for everyone to check out**

Hey Paper Crafters

Today is my design team day over at the Timeless Twine Blog and I decided to use my Timeless Twine to make an adorable little notebook

I used my bind it all to create this notebook the covers are from cereal box and the inside pages are just regular copy/printer paper

Untitled
The little note paper is actually a journal card that I printed out ages ago.
I tied a twine bow and added a button and also outlined my pencil with some fun twine as well

Untitled

I paper pieced the pencil from the Peachy Keen Stamps  August Stamp of the Month Kit  in various pattern paper scraps then layered on some Timeless Twine for Extra Interest using my Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive

The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps "Many Thanks"

Some glossy accents, a doily and a scrap punched with a scallop border punch completes this project

I hope you enjoy it and inspires you to use twine in decorating your homemade notebooks :)

Have a great friday

Boxed Cards for Teachers Gift Set

Hey Peachies

Today is my post day at Peachy Keen Stamps for the latest August Stamp of the Month Club Release.

For today's project I wanted to make a  3D project. A card gift box for my daughter's Teacher. She has been taking care of my little one for a year now and I want to make something to show my appreciation

Check out my project below. I used a Splitcoaststampers Tutorial Here

Untitled
I probably have a doily addiction. :) All of the Paper is from Cosmo Cricket "The Boyfriend" Stack. The box and card are both made using Papertrey Ink Kraft Cardstock which is super Thick cardstock just right for making boxes

Here is a view from above.. I made the handle using a scrap of Cardstock and 2 black brads.
Untitled

Inside of the box, I have tucked inside 5 handmade cards (previously made). Or you can make new note cards to match the theme

I hope you like this project, and make sure to stop by the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog to Check out the other design team projects with this new release.
