Happy Birthday Angelica (blog hop!)

Hey everyone welcome to A peachy Princess blog hop.

Today we are celebrating Angelica's Birthday, also known as the peachy princess, and the market street queen!

I like to call her my friend.

She is truly awesome. She's that kind of friend that won't laugh at you when you email her about silly things, and she's always there to give good crafty advice, plus she's just a creative mastermind and everything she touches becomes instantly fab!

Here is a birthday card that I made and mailed to her to celebrate her birthday

DSCN0578

My card wasn't being very photogenic because it has a slightly curved botton so it didn't want to stay still while i take a photo of it, so i apologize in advance if you have to tilt your head slightly in order to check out my card.

Next is Lauren

Here is the blog hop list in case you get lost

I *heart* U Monster Valentine

As I had stated on my PKS Blog Post, I am showcasing two additional *Peachy projects*, that you can view here

Hiya Everyone

Thank you for stopping by and visiting if you are new and hopping over from the PKS Blog.

Today I am sharing with you a super cute valentine's day card that I have created using PK-693 Monster Mash Faces 1 1/8" and PK-296 XOXOXOXO A-2 Background Stamp. I wanted to showcase the versatility of these adorable Peachy Keen Stamps that Kathy has created.

Not only Does the "face" make the project, but using the xoxo background stamp adds alot of interest to the brown cardstock which would otherwise look plain.

Details:
**This project was 100% designed and cut using My Silhouette Cameo and Make the Cut software
**The card base  shape and Layers shapes are of my own creation.
**The card is roughly  5x7. i think slightly larger.. but that's okay I will just have to make my own envelope for this one.

The brown paper cardstock is Papertrey ink Dark Chocolate stamped with the XOXO Background stamp using Stampin Up Early Expresso Ink. All of the edges are Inked with Walnut Stain Tim Holtz Distress ink.

The Pattern Paper is from YT24023 Yours Truly 6x6 by Echo Park.

After I cut out my cute little monster with my Cameo I then proceed to ink various parts of the body with different ink colors. I inked the Blue Body with Stampin up Baja Breeze and TIm Holtz Walnut Stain Distress ink, and the horns and hair I inked with Stampin up Pretty in Pink and Tim Hotlz Distress ink.
I then assembled the monster and went doodle overboard like always :) with my
I stamped the adorable face, bringing my monster to life using PK-693 Monster Mash Faces 1 1/8" and Paper trey Ink True Black ink. I added the white of the eyes and doodling with my gelly roll pen.
The Rosy cheeks were created using a dry paint brush and Riding Hood Red Stampin Up ink.

I created the Mini Banner using a bunch of files from Lettering Delights

The Banner shape I created using the Basic Borders SVG Set. I used the singular Scallop and adjusted it to fit my needs.

The font is from Lettering Delights, LD Typeset font that I cut with make the cut software
I finished the project off with some red Swiss Dot grosgrain ribbon that I bought at michael's ages ago, and a black button. I tied some accent bows using Cherry red & Natural White baker's twine from Timeless Twine. My personal favorite.
I hope you enjoy this project, and that it inspires you to use your Peachy Keen Stamps in a Fun creative way.

The heart I stamped with Colorbox Frost White pigment ink and the PK-296 XO A-2 Background Stamp  on a scrap of Red Cardstock then stamp/paper pieced and added it to the image stamp

The face stamped on my adorable angel is from PK-485 Snowmany Faces 1 1/8 inch, I masked off the nose and then stamped the nose from PK-494 Everyday Character Face Parts 4" to 5" in it's place. I wanted the angel to look Child like and I think she came out just Adorable!!

This Christmas Layout

Today I thought I would share with you a layout I created right after Christmas. These photos I had taken of my daughter a few days after we had put up the Christmas tree and decorated the house. I thought they were so adorable that I couldn't help printing them out and scrapbooking them right away.
"This Christmas" Layout

All of the Pattern paper is from DCWV The Christmas Combo Stack
The large scallopped Circle title and journaling is from The Christmas combo stack as well. I just used an X-acto knife and cut it out from a page. The Deer border was also from the border strips in the Pack as well.

I cut this out once, and then from another page (there are 2 copies of every pattern) i cut out another set of the berries and popped them up with foam sqaures and added glitter.

I have noticed that DCWV stacks nearly always have a page with borders, a page with tags/journaling strips and a few pages that have a border/ journaling or image printed on them. I have been making an attempt to use that more often.

The background cardstock actually had an image of a postage stamp printed on it, I didn't really like that but I loved the border, so I just decided to hide that with another piece of pattern paper.

The tree is a SVG File that I created from (this) paper piecing pattern from Scrapbooks ETC. I can make that available as a freebie if anyone wants it, just send me a request using the contact me section of my website.

I used my sewing machine do accent stitching and also included a ruffle border made from scraps of satin ribbon.

Hope you enjoy this and it inspires you!

Cupid's Sting Valentine's Card

Hey there friends, it's Cristina coming to you with my First ever Design team Project for Peachy keen Stamps.

Today I am featuring a Stamp from the Newest Release called PK-295 Cupid's Sting.

I absolutely love how this card came out.  Over the weekend I went to my Local Scrapbook Store Buffalo Stamps & Stuff (BlogWebsite) and purchased this adorable pattern paper (12x12 "Flying High" from My Mind's Eye Irresistible Collection) on Clearance!! It was dirt cheap and the moment I saw it, I knew I wanted to use the cute cupid stamp to create something cute.

Here is my Card

Cupid

The Kraft Cardstock is from Papertrey ink and the Red is from Bazzil. I am pretty sure the White is just a scrap of recollections. I created a SVG shadow blackout of the stamp in my Make the Cut software and then inked my stamp with papertrey ink True Black ink and colored with my Prismacolor pencils.  I then used a New pen that I got from a Local Art Supply Store called Hyatt's (website) called  Pen-touch xtra fine tip paint pen. Since I've been having some issues with my old fave the Sakura white gelly roll pen. Anyways this pen is like paint and writes awesome. I stamped the sentiment "this is gonna sting a little" that comes with the Cupid's Sting stamp set, then traced over it with the pen-touch and added some doodling...

I created the postage stamp border using my postage stamp punch from Fiskar The large white scallopw as created using the Basic Borders SVG set from Lettering Delights

One thing that I love love about the Basic Borders SVG Set is is how easy is to create a custom border. in exactly the size you need it. Due to the fact that they include a singlular scallop shape as well... you can see what I am talking about from the picture here

And this set is ON SALE for only $1!!!!

I knew that I wanted to have the border be  4.75 inches across and also that I wanted to have 5 scallops. so all that I did was divide 4.75/5 and made that the width of my scallops. Duplicated that to 5 scallops across and welded them together. That sounds alot more complicated than it actually is.

This card came together rather quickly (except the coloring, that always takes me forever) i finished it off with some old Stampin Up Striped ribbon and a black button with with a hemp cord knot.

I hope you enjoy my project and have a fantastic day!

PS. You would be happy to know that I have also completed 2 scrapbook layouts in 2012.  :) And am getting caught up with my pages slowly but surely. I will have some more layouts to share with you laterthis week so stay tuned!

Best of 2011: Scrapbook Layouts# 1-5

To see my favorite cards of 2011 click here and here

Today i am sharing some of my favorite Scrapbook pages that I have made in 2011.

I am actually saddened that I did not make as many layouts in 2011 as I orginally intended. Yesterday, I took the timesince I was off from work and went through the photos that I have printed and organzied them in little baggies by scrapbook pages that need to be completed.

I have about 20 pages that I need to make before I even think about printing out anything else. I figure if I just work with the pictures that I have printed out I can get some done. Not to mention that I have about 3-4 months of pictures that I need to print out, and these are all for my daughter's scrapbook. I am not including the fact that I still need to scrapbook a whole entire vacation from Puerto Rico from August 2010. So in some ways I am behind almost by a year.

Though hope is not lost. I did make 2 layouts so far in 2012 :-D]

So in no particular order here are 5 of my favorite layouts in 2011. I will do another post later this week with my remaining 2011 favorites. I dont want this post to be TOO pic heavy.

IMG_7585

Time 2 Play layout. I love everything about this. I am not so good at matching when it comes to pattern paper, or at least in my opion, that is why at some times I am thank ful for the imagine as I basically had all the pattern paper cut out using the print and cut feature. This makes me almost want to use my imagine today, but then I think about how much I love my cameo.. Maybe i will use it again. You can see this orginal post ( and video) here

back to school layout. I actually made this layout for my little brother, and it was just an idea that came to me last minute, as all good ideas do and I just threw it together in no time. My mother is really into scrapbooking, as long as she is not the one who has to make the pages so every now and then I make a page for her that she can add her photos and journaling and put it into her scrapbook. I really enjoy the stamped boarder with the white embossing powder and there is just enough going on that it doesn't look to plain. you can see the orignal post here

IMG_20110904_230209
Easter Layout. This page was one that I made when I was a guest Designer for Peachy Keen Stamps back in Septemeber. I didn't have alot to work with as far as photos sizes. This photo was taken by the people at the mall with the Easter Bunny and basically you get 1 photo size (5x7) with a horrendous border and like eggs and the year on it. I guess the year part is helpful since you can easily remember when the photo was taken. So I decided to cut off as much of the ugly border as possible cutting around the eggs and take it from there. I then played off of the photo colors to come up with this layout. You can see the original post here

Santa's lap
This one came  togher alot nicer than I had planned. Once again I was working with horrible bordered mall photos though I was lucky enough that at least this mall photo had some what of an easy to cut off border compared to Easter. Since I only had one photo I wanted to add as many Christmas Die Cuts as possible in order to make it look more complete. You can see all of the details on the original post here

Treasure Box Designs Love Bug: 8.5x11 double page layout
Love bug layout This is one of my all time favoritest layouts. I love the color variety. i still do not have pictures filled in this layout. I guess you have to take pictures on valentine's day in order to have some to put on the layout. But hey there is still this year. You can see the original post here
