I am contuning one of my end of the year traditions I am going to go through and pick some of my favorite projects that I have completed in 2011. Here are just 5. i am going to pick my favorite 11 cards total but I thought the first 5 in one post wouldn't make it overly pic heavy.
Here we go.. in no particular order.. 5 of my favorite 11 cards of 2011
I made this super cute card during my Guest Designer Week at PKS and I STILL love it. I love the pattern paperand the clouds and the banner, and overall this was a good idea that came out just the way I wanted it to. See original post here...
I actually got the idea for this card from a PINTEREST pin that I had found and I basically just used it as a sketch and made it my own. This suprisingly is one of my paper piecing masterpieces, I remember how much I loved/hated putting together the little hot air balloons. You can see the orginal post here
I love love love this card, Everything about it. i took a spring style stamp set and using my Prismacolor pencils colored it in a fall pallettte. I actually have yet to give this card to my mom as I love looking at it. This was one of my first attempts at coloring with Prismacolor pencils and I think I did pretty good :) you can see the original post here
This card was actually another sketch idea. I love using sketches to come up with card ideas. I also had learned and used the faux embossing with diecuts tecnique on this card. I was suprised how fantastic the flowers came out across the bias of the card with the various sizes. Also I hand drew the face and dial feature on the card, which gave him an adorable fun feel. If only PKS came out with a Robot Character face set. ***SUGGESTION ALERT*** lol You can see the original post here
this is one of my prime time favorites, not only the card itself but how accurate and nice the PHOTO of the card came out. Sometimes when I take the picture I think.. the card looks so much better in real life, and this photo of the card is just so fantastic. This was a mojo monday sketch where I got the idea from and I just ran with it. this was aso a fun card to make sue to the unique shape of the card.Instead of using Die Cuts, I used some stickers from E.A.D Designs, but you could easily recreate something like this using stamps or diecuts LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. you can see the original post & Video here

Snow Angel Hot Cocoa Holder
Hey there
I just wanted to share with you a project that my daughter and I made together this weekend. We have been working on a few teacher gifts for her to bring to her preschool.
We maede some really adorable Hot Cocoa holders. I cannot take credit for this as an orginal idea. I had seen someone make something like this on youtube using a .studio file, but I have yet to even play around with silhouette designer studio software with my cameo so I made a similar .svg file in order to create this project. just to make something similar.
I cut out everything out on my Cameo for this project.
I actually recorded a video of this project, tooo
the inside holders 2-3 packets of hot cocoa. my cocoa of choice is the Nestle Mini marshamallows. It's super yummy!!
I am linking this project up to the PKS Challenge #67 Sketch Challenge

I used DCWV cardstock and all the pattern paper is from an Old K& Company Christmas set. I *think* it was called Kris Kringle. But I could be making that up..
Hope you like it

Hey there Friends it's Cristina again with another Scrappy Moms Stamps Tuesday Challenge.
Scrappy Moms has started to carry these wonderful bags from Whisper Graphics. They come in all sizes and colors. The challenge this week is to use a bag( Preferably whisper Graphics if you have them.)
For my project I used the Pink Chevron Bitty bag as a Ticket Stub holder in my Smashbook
I just started it this past weekend and I have already 3 pages done :) it's fun just having a place to store all of your memories.
I also used a stamp from Scrappy Moms Stamps "Hooray for Birthdays stamp set", I masked off a portion of the stamp and hand wrote in around it.
Stickers from EAD Designs Funky Frames
Pattern paper From Lettering Delights
Washi tape from SMASH BOOK (K& Company)
Make sure you head over to scrappy moms and join in the challenge as see the other DT members projects

Scrappy Moms Stamps Sneak Peek #2
Hey there,
Today I am continuing with my projects for Scrappy Moms Stamps New release week. The project I am featuring today uses Hooray For Birthdays Stamp set
Although this stamp set is birthday inspired my project is totally in the Christmas Mood.
Yesterday I went to the Super Flea (a local flea market) and was in search of provisions in order to make homemade gifts. I stumbled upon a huge assortment of Mason Jars for only $1 each so of course I grabbed all the ones that they had.. why not?!?!
I stumbled upon this reciepe for cowgirl cookies by bakerella a long while ago and I decided to whip up a test batch of course, then opted to jar the reciepe because they are YUMMY!! She explains how to make them and layer them in the jar correctly.
Here is the project I created
This is the full view of the jar. The pattern paper is from Cloud 9 Designs Holiday pack( Not sure what it is called but it has autumn through christmas paper in it)
Here is a close up of the two tags that I made. The tag is made from a piece of 2x 3.5 cardstock which I tag cut the ends and used my crop a dile to add an eyelet and punch the whole. The sentiment "for you" is from Hooray for birthdays. I stamped the sentiment in Stampin Up Riding Hood Red Ink.I used the PKS-754 Critter Faces Set A medium for the face on my little penguin, and I used Stampin up Crushed Curry ink (discontinued) to fill in his beak and Stampin up Pretty in Pink for the Cheeks.
How I apply my ink for Cheeks: With the Ink pad close I smush it together in order to transfer a small amount of ink onto the lid. I then use a dry paint brush to pick up the ink from the lid top. I then apply the ink with the paint brush in a circular motion. ( i did the same process with the beak on the penguin as well)
For the Circle Tag I used a 2 inch Circle punch in Kraft Cardstock. The dotted Circle boarder is from Papertrey ink take note, and the bracket label is from Papertrey ink Friendship Jar Stamp set. I used Stampin up Old Olive and Riding Hood Red.
Both tags are strung together using Timeless Twine Baker's Twine.
In this picture I am just showing the other side of the circular tag. I used Papertrey Ink Take Note Stamp set for the border and the lines. I then hand wrote out the instructions to complete the recipe.
Here is a side view of all of the yummy layers
Here is a close up of the top of the jar. I used an old scrap of white cotton fabric amd I stamped it all over using Riding Hood and old olive with a few snowflake shapes stamps from inkadinkado being stamped in Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap Distress ink for a vintage feel.Everything tied to gether at the top using some raffia.
I took all of the photos with my new Nikon L105 and I love it. Everything turns out just how it looks and it's all so crisp and sharp. Though I am still getting a hang of how to use it.
I am entering this project into a few challenges:
PKS Face it Friday: Fabric Scraps
PKS NING: Wrap it up
**** BONUS********As a special bonus with this release, we have decided to do a giveaway - everyone who orders Dancing in Circles from today (12/9) thru Sunday 12/18 will be entered to win these ...
