Challenge #14: Resolutions & Memories

Hey There Friends,

Welcome to the first Crafting with Cristina Challenge of the New Year. If  you are new. I host a challenge here twice a month (every other Wednesday) and the entries of the month are combined to win a fantastic prize. Winners are chosen by Random.org  So if you participate in both challenges, you have double the entries to win!  Crafters  will have one week to complete an original project based on the challenge. It's fantastic.

I am so excited about this challenge because it's the first challenge I have with my Design Team!! These ladies are soo Super Talented! IF you have free time please check out their blogs!

This Week's Challenge was: To Create a Scrapbook page of either your Favorite 2010 Memories or your 2011 Resolutions/Goals.

I know this is a very fun way to Kick off the new year to catch up on some of our scrapbooking and use some of those photos that still may be lingering on our computers or even cameras :) As well as get us motivated to start reaching some of those goals we set for ourselves for this new year!!

First up is Amanda

Amanda Wowed me when she showed me this ultra girly New Years Resolutions layout With the punched out flowers and butterflies this layout is modern yet soft and delicate.

Next is Ivette

Ivette was clear with some of her 2011 crafty goals, Use more spend less. She used the Car Decals cartridge for the "Cricut head" and heavily journaling  beside captured Photographs. There is no doubt on what her Resolutions are. A great way to stay motivated for the new year. Something like this would be great in a 12x12 Frame :)

Now we have Elsa
Elsa created her top 5 memories from 2010 and I just love how she added the various shapes along side the photos as well as the title itself. Everything jst goes together so well but yet you really want to look at all the details of her layout such as the notes above her photo titles, and the cluster of stars! Soo Super FUN!!

As for me??

I did Both!! (Yes I am a teeny tiny overachiever lol)

For my first layout I knew I wanted to use the Cute clock Bonus Feature on my Imagine More Cricut Cartridge. and Let me tell you this layout came together super fast not having to paper piece anything for the layout and easy to match colors. The 2010 title is from the Font feature of Birthday Bash(super cute) and I used the Imagine More patterns to fill those in so it wold instant Match. The Base of the layout is some DCWV Neturals Stack that I had sitting around Forever and a day and it matched the Imagine more colors pretty well :) I added some white Hemp Cord Bows, stickles here and there and my lout was completed! This was my first attempt in a long time with scrapbooking without my gypsy. It is STILL out for repair/replacement. How do you think I did?

For my second Layout I wanted to keep it simple because I plan to frame it and Hang it in my craft room. I used the Best Friends Imagine Cartridge and my little "me" is cut out at 5.7 inches. The Title Goals is also cut out from Birthday Bash and I used the Best Friends Cartridge to fill them in. The pattern paper is Best Friends, but the solid Pink and Purple are from my stash, I think they are recollections brand cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed all the inspiration we have for you. I think my design team really outdid themselves.

Now for the prize! The January Prize is ...

April Showers Cricut Cartridge.

I loved this challenge, this allowed us to create something so orignal and express our favorite memories or goals. My favorite was finding my missing kitten, she was missing for 4 months and my page has journaling explaining the story! Thank you!
